  • Thirty day guarantee. You do not have to explain why.
  • Your login is your purchase email.
  • Needs a Mac and a paid Claude plan.

A folder Claude reads, rules it obeys, a memory that keeps itself current. After this, Claude knows your business on Monday the way it knew it on Friday.

  • Not technical.

If you can install an app, unzip a folder and type a sentence, you can do every step.

  • On your own Mac.

The brain is a folder on your Mac. Nothing in it is uploaded to us and we never see it.

  • Nothing leaves without your yes.

It is one of the five rules every brain carries, word for word.

  • One running cost.

A paid Claude plan. The kit runs on plans and free tools, so its bill can't creep.

The explaining tax

You went back to doing it yourself

You explained the business to a chatbot, got one genuinely good answer, came back the next day and it remembered nothing. Every conversation starts from zero, so you pay the explaining tax every time, and the tool that was meant to save an hour costs twenty minutes before it is useful. That is why it stopped getting opened.

Meanwhile the business still runs out of your head: prices, how a quote gets written, which supplier for what, the email you send when a job is booked. None of it is written down anywhere something else can read.

A better prompt does not fix this. A folder Claude reads at the start of every session does.

Look inside

What a business brain is

This is not a course about AI. It is the setup we run our own businesses on, written up step by step so you can build your own on your Mac without being technical.

The folder.

Claude reads it at the start of every session. Your prices, your people, how a quote gets written, which supplier for what: pages, not prompts.

The starter vault as it unzips in module 1. Thirteen folders. Five skills.

The constitution.

Rules Claude obeys, and rules you can test on your own screen. One of them says nothing leaves the folder without a yes from you.

CLAUDE.mdHard rules 1 to 5, locked
  1. The Structure Interview runs before anything else. Until 00-Meta/log.md holds a line that says "Structure Interview run", no other task starts in this vault. Stop, and ask the user to run 90-Skills/structure-interview.md first.
  2. Nothing is deleted without asking. A file, a folder, or any of the content inside a file: ask before removing it, and ask again the next time.
  3. Numbers and sources are never invented. A figure is real only when it is a row in 00-Meta/numbers-ledger.md, with its source and its as-of date, or when the user has supplied it. Anything else is written as "unknown" and flagged. A gap you can see is worth more than a guess.
  4. Out of scope means ask first. A task that reaches past what these files and their rules describe waits for a yes before it starts.
  5. Propose, then act. Anything that leaves this folder or changes the outside world (an email, a post, a payment, an archive, a delete, a file sent to anyone) is drafted or proposed first and happens only after a yes in this session. There is no standing permission.
Five rules every brain carries, word for word. Copied from the starter vault.

The memory.

Every number carries a source and a date. A weekly review keeps it current from what you drop in, so Monday’s answer is built on Friday’s facts. A handful of skills do real jobs against it: file what came in, update the page, run the Friday review.

Backed up to a private repository. Saves itself every ten minutes while Obsidian is open.

Explain It Once
A DO THIS card from module 3 of the guide, titled Check the build, three files. Open CLAUDE.md, open one folder's contents list and follow an offer's page to the ledger row behind its price, with a source and a date, then open the log.
From the guide, module 3. The price is not on the page: the page points at the ledger, and the ledger row has a source and a date.

Explain your business once. After that, the folder does the explaining.

We did not read about this

We run on it

We run three brains in production: the business, the family, and one where Claude keeps its own notes, with an assistant on top. The kit is written from that, including what broke. Our first interview starved the vault. Our first linking rule turned the map into a hairball. A weekly invoice was counted as monthly for a day. Each time, the module tells you what happened and hands you the rule that fixed it.

Alongside yours, the modules build a real brain for one of our own ventures, a young business with a small shoebox, so you see every page as it is actually written, not as a diagram.

The kit went on sale on 30 September 2026. This is the founding cohort.

I am not technical. I did it in a weekend on my Mac, and every step told me exactly what to type.

Mike, recruitment business owner

Another that broke. A login that expired every seven days, and never threw an error. It took us too long to notice.

Saturday and Sunday

How a weekend goes

Half on Saturday, half on Sunday, or one an evening for a fortnight. From module 1 on, each one ends with something you can see on your own screen.

Saturday

  1. Module 0: What a business brain is

    10 min

You have three checks done before module 1: a Mac, a paid Claude plan, and where your Documents folder lives

    What you do

Why a chatbot forgets, what a brain is instead, and what the next nine modules put on your screen.

  2. Module 1: Set up the desk

    45 min

You have the starter brain open in Obsidian, Claude pointed at it

    What you do

Install the Claude app, Obsidian and GitHub Desktop, unzip the starter vault, and get Claude's first refusal.

  3. Module 2: The shoebox

    20 min

You have 05-Inbox/ full: what the business has already written, in one place

    What you do

Collect what the business has already written, in twenty minutes, and drop it in the inbox for Claude to read.

  4. Module 3: The interview

    75 min

You have your own folder tree and a filled-in CLAUDE.md

    What you do

Claude reads the shoebox, asks thirty to forty questions, one at a time, and builds your structure.

  5. Module 4: Memory

    45 min

You have your first real pages, and the first Weekly Brain Review run

    What you do

Claude writes your first real pages from things you drop in the inbox, every number lands in the ledger with a date, and the Friday review runs for the first time.

Sunday

  1. Module 5: Back it up and share it

    45 min

You have a private repository with autosync running, and a teammate in if you have one

    What you do

Your brain saved in two places, updating itself every ten minutes while Obsidian is open, and a teammate in it if you have one.

  2. Module 6: The constitution, properly

    40 min

You have a constitution with rules you can check

    What you do

Open CLAUDE.md, understand the five locked rules, write your own as checks, and prove they hold.

  3. Module 7: Ask it things

    30 min

You have the brain answering real questions about your business, with sources

    What you do

Ask the brain the questions you ask yourself every week, get the page named with every answer, and have it draft a reply you send yourself.

  4. Bonus module: The inbox pack Bonus

    60 min

You have the brain acting on a live system: your inbox, with nothing sent without you

    What you do

Connect Gmail, install four skills, and let the brain clear the noise, find what matters, chase what went quiet and draft replies in your voice. Every reply is a draft you send yourself.

  5. Module 9: Keep it alive

    30 min

You have your own maintenance ledger, filed in the brain

    What you do

The four ways a brain quietly stops working, the two checks that catch it, what it costs to run, and a one-page maintenance ledger filed in the brain.

Nine modules plus a bonus. Under seven hours of working time.

Before you buy

The five things owners ask first

Do I need to be technical?

No. If you can install an app, unzip a folder and type a sentence, you can do every step. Where a word like repository or connector turns up, the module explains it in plain words the first time it appears, and the exact words to type to Claude are in a box you can copy.

Type this in Cowork or the Code tab
Read CLAUDE.md and tell me in three lines what this folder is and what you are not allowed to do.
From the guide, module 1. The exact words to type are in a box you can copy.

Is my data private?

The brain is a folder on your own Mac. Nothing in it is uploaded to us and we never see it. Claude reads it when you point it there, under the terms of your own Claude plan. The kit never asks you for client personal information, passwords, bank details or anything under a confidentiality clause. Module 2 tells you to keep them out, and module 6 gives you a hard rule for the constitution so Claude keeps them out too.

Will I actually finish it?

Under seven hours, split however your week allows. From module 1 on, each one ends with something you can see on your own screen, so a stalled Sunday is not a lost weekend.

Will it do things without asking me?

Five rules every brain carries, word for word. The fifth:

Propose, then act. Anything that leaves this folder or changes the outside world (an email, a post, a payment, an archive, a delete, a file sent to anyone) is drafted or proposed first and happens only after a yes in this session. There is no standing permission.

Read all five rules

What does it cost to run?

A paid Claude plan, and nothing else. Obsidian and GitHub are free on the plans the kit uses. Check current Claude pricing on claude.ai. Once the brain is built, plan on about thirty minutes of your time a week to keep it current.

The kit runs on plans and free tools, so its bill can't creep.

It is for you if

  • A tradie, salon, cafe, bookkeeper, physio or consultant who owns a Mac
  • Someone who has tried ChatGPT, got one good answer, and went back to doing it by hand
  • An owner who wants the setup, not another explanation of what AI is
  • A two-person business that wants one brain both of you can read and edit

It is not for you if

  • Anyone without a Mac
  • Anyone who wants an assistant to run the business with nobody watching
  • Anyone who wants us to build it for them. The kit is a self-build, and that is the point
  • A business that needs custom integrations on day one. The kit says plainly where a self-build stops

Where a self-build stops

The honest part

A self-build stops somewhere, and the kit says where instead of hiding it. It stops at custom integrations (anything your business runs on that has no connector), approvals at scale (a queue, not a chat), more than one person’s inbox, scheduled runs with nobody at the keyboard, and the question of who fixes it at 2am.

The Gmail connector is not the wall. A custom integration is. Module 9 says this plainly, has you fill in a maintenance ledger for everything that is connected, lists where to get help, and stops. There is no pitch inside the product.

The wall is written down inside the kit, because you should know where it is before you reach it.

Questions

Is it Mac only?

Yes. Everything is written for the Claude desktop app on a Mac. If you do not own a Mac, do not buy this.

What is Cowork?

A mode in the Claude desktop app. You choose a folder for Claude to work in and switch on connectors such as Gmail in the app's settings. The kit also uses the Code tab, which is Claude Code inside the same app. Module 1 has you pick one, Cowork or the Code tab, and set up only that one. Every later step shows your side wherever they differ.

Do I need a paid Claude plan?

Yes. Cowork needs one and the kit is built around it. Check current pricing on claude.ai before you buy the kit, because that plan is the one running cost.

Can two people use it?

One purchase is one login, tied to the email you bought with. The brain you build is yours to share: module 5 shows you how to put the vault in a private repository so a teammate can read and edit it from their own Mac, with the three rules that stop you overwriting each other.

What is the inbox pack?

A bonus. Four skills for your Gmail connector: clear the noise, find what needs you, reply in your voice, chase what went quiet. Nothing sends, archives or deletes without a yes from you in that session. It installs in module 8, after the brain exists, because it reads the brain to do its job. The product is the brain. The pack is what the brain can do once it has one.

Is this the camp?

No. Build Camp is two days in a room in Brisbane, and the kit is the prerequisite: it builds the brain that camp builds on. If you never come to camp, the kit still finishes. Nothing in it is a trailer for something else.

Is there a community?

Yes. AI Tribe Community is a Facebook group we run, and it is included support for the kit: post what you are stuck on and one of us, or another owner who has built theirs, answers. It is free and open to anyone, so it is not a private club for buyers, and it is not a help desk with a response time. The link is in your login and in the welcome email.

What does founding cohort mean?

The kit went on sale on 30 September 2026, and the people buying now are the founding cohort. They pay the founding cohort price, which is the only price the kit has ever sold at, and they keep it for good: the kit is a one-off purchase and nothing on it renews. Once the founding cohort closes, the kit sells at its full price. While we can count places live, the number left and the price after are on this page. When we cannot count them, this page says nothing about either rather than guess.

Can I get a tax invoice?

Yes. Stripe emails a receipt the moment you pay. If you need a tax invoice showing our ABN, email hello@aitribe.com.au from your purchase email and we will send one. The price includes GST, so nothing is added at checkout.

Does the kit price come off a Build Camp seat?

Yes. If you later take a seat at Build Camp, what you paid for the kit comes off the seat price. Camp is two days in a room in Brisbane and the kit is its prerequisite, so nothing you build this weekend is wasted if you come.

The brain kit. $149, once.

The setup we run our own businesses on, packaged so you can build yours in a weekend: a folder Claude reads, rules it obeys, a memory that keeps itself current.
