Privacy

Short version: we collect what you type into the interest form or at checkout, we use it to run the kit and Build Camp and to see whether the site works, and we do not sell it or pass it to anyone outside ai_tribe and the services named below.
When you register your interest
When you register your interest in Build Camp, we store what you enter in the form:
- Your name, email address and business name
- Your phone number, if you choose to give it
- What your business does, and the one job you would hand over first
- How many people you have, and roughly where you are
We also record the country your request came from, which our hosting provider supplies automatically, as a sanity check against the location you selected.
When you buy the kit
Checkout runs on Stripe's page, not ours. Stripe collects your email address and your card details. Your card details never reach us. Stripe keeps its own record of the payment under its privacy policy. What we keep is the buyer record: the email you paid with, which course you bought, Stripe's reference for the purchase, when you bought it, and which modules you have ticked as done. That record is what lets you log in. Alongside the purchase, Stripe holds a note of the browser you bought with and the analytics cookie ids of your visit, so the sale can be matched to the visit that led to it. We do not store your name, your address or anything about your card.
What we do not collect
We do not store your IP address. To stop the interest form being abused we keep a one way cryptographic hash of it, which lets us count recent submissions without being able to work out who or where you are. When you click Buy or register your interest, we pass the IP address of that request to Meta at that moment, as its pixel does, and keep no copy. Card details never touch our systems.
Cookies
learn.aitribe.com.au sets two cookies of its own:
- A login cookie, set when you buy or log in, that lasts thirty days. It holds a signed copy of your purchase email and nothing else.
- A five minute cookie set on the way into the course after a purchase, so the course page can record the purchase in our analytics once. It carries the amount and an order reference, not your email.
The analytics services below set their own cookies on both sites.
Analytics and advertising
aitribe.com.au and learn.aitribe.com.au use Meta Pixel and Google Analytics 4. They record page views, a view of the kit page, a click on the Buy button, a registration on the interest form, and a purchase with its amount and an order reference.
We also send the Buy click, the registration and the purchase to Meta from our own server, and the purchase to Google Analytics, so the count is not lost when a browser blocks the tags. A server copy carries what the browser tag would: the IP address and browser of the visit and Meta's own cookie ids. The registration copy carries nothing you typed into the form.
To tell whether an ad led to a sale, the purchase we send Meta includes your email address, name, country and postcode from checkout in hashed form: a one way scramble Meta can compare with its own records but cannot read back. Meta's pixel can also hash details you type into a form on these pages, such as your email address, for the same matching. Meta calls this automatic advanced matching.
Meta and Google set cookies of their own, may match a visit to an account you hold with them under their own policies, and may show ai_tribe ads to people who have visited. You can turn this off with your browser's tracking protection, in your Meta ad preferences and in Google's ads settings. The kit works the same either way.
Where it is stored
In Cloudflare databases controlled by us and hosted in Cloudflare's Oceania region. Traffic to both sites passes through Cloudflare, which also provides the anti-spam check on the interest form. Payments are held by Stripe. If we send set-up emails after a purchase, the sending service holds your email address for that purpose.
What we use it for
- Running your access to the kit, sending your receipt, and handling a refund
- Keeping you posted on the first cohort: dates, cost and funding
- Talking to you about dates, pricing and whether the camp suits your business
- Understanding what jobs people actually want handed over, which shapes what the camp and the kit cover
- Measuring whether the site is working and whether our advertising is
We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone outside ai_tribe and the services named on this page. You can unsubscribe from any email series at any time, and you can ask us to delete everything we hold about you.
Emails after you buy
Stripe sends your receipt. We may send a short series of emails that walk you through setting up, each with an unsubscribe link. Receipts, refund confirmations and notices about your access still arrive if you unsubscribe from the series, because you need them.
Who we are
ai_tribe is a joint venture between Shadowtek and Lead Laundry Aust Pty Ltd, ABN 30 192 750 843, based in Brisbane, Queensland. Purchases of the kit are made with Lead Laundry Aust Pty Ltd. The Australian Privacy Principles apply to how we handle your information.
Getting your data, or getting rid of it
Email hello@aitribe.com.au and ask. We will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. You do not have to give a reason. Deleting a buyer record ends your access to the kit, so say if you want to keep that. If you are not happy with how we handled a request, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
